Trillium Kurabayashii

That is spectacular. I have the the white wild trillium growing in the forest. It fades to pink. And yes, deer likes it.

Gorgeous Brian, I have had a go at growing these in the past and leaves come and go but never any flowers. So gave up!

Lindak some of the big nurseries sell them imported from America where they are grown, problem is that by the time the customer receives them they are well dehydrated and it takes years for them to recover, if ever.
Better pay a bit more and buy as established potted plants.

What conditions are yours in Brian ,sun or shade mine hasn't spread so well as yours ,I'm wondering if it,s in the wrong place ,it gets the full sun in the afternoon in it's present place ...

Amy this one has morning sun also the fern behind normally provides a lot of shade, pretty well covers it in summer I cut it back a bit to take the pictures.

Mines the opposite it has shade in the morning and sun in the afternoon is it wise to move them do you know ?

I think they move them late summer as the bare root plants, ones for sale show up early Autumn ,might be worth a google to be sure.
I have had no reason to try as yet.

I did get some last year but I haven't noticed them yet.
