Magnolia in Coronation Avenue, H'don as I see it while taking a close up photo!
Fortunately the brown edges of the flowers don't show up very well in this photo!!! This last week we have had some strong, cold winds & some frost. That is what has caused the browning of the petals.
As I'd been away in Spain for nearly 2 weeks at the start of March I nearly missed the tree in flower this year!

LOL! :-D) Not exactly around the world! Just round Europe!
You are quite right, TT, Huntingdon does have some wonderful flowering trees! There are quite literally 100s of Horse Chestnuts here - some are a couple of hundred years old! Unfortunately the Leaf Miner is slowly killing the trees off. It'll take some years yet but you can see how debilitating they are on the trees as they lose their foliage several months before they normally would.
Looking for a photo of the Star Magnolia I took some years ago (I found one I took 5 years ago today! Now uploaded) I found dozens of photos of Horse Chestnut trees I'd taken over the last 6 years at least. I put them all in one folder so I know where to find them again in the future. I did the same with Golden Rain, Lilac, Hawthorn, & some other trees!
