Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' - 2014 (Skimmia japonica)

Shrub for part or full shade in a humus-rich soil. To get berries, you need both a male and a female; this is a slow-growing male, eventually reaching five feet. But it happily takes a little pruning, and I reduced the spread a couple of years ago without spoiling the shape or its performance.

A good one to have in the garden love the scent from these plants, they grow rapidly here, some of them making over eight foot...

wow, how old is it? I have a skimmia like this but it is still small despite being about 10 years old!

Sarah - it's only eight years old. It's not in a particularly good spot, but seems to be doing well.
