This Ceanothus has made yet another spring, (evergreen Ceanothus, not long lived, unfortunately) another already planted, ready to take its place....

I believe you are lucky to get 5 to 6 years Karen, but maybe DD will know more.

Thanks Dawn! :) They aren't really very good here...they seem to like a bit more warmth and sunshine than we can offer in Scotland. Did you hear Rory Bremner on Andrew Marr this morning? He was recounting Billy Connolly saying that we have two seasons in Scotland....winter and June! I had to laugh....it's about right. It's certainly winter right now!

Mine is against a south facing wall Karen, lol, no been at work today, remember that dreaded summer when you had overcast skies most of the summer. Its the late frosts that are a killer in my garden.

Karen you could be lucky and get eight years, the deciduous will last for many years, but they are not quite so attractive..

Thanks Gee and Amy, I do love the Ceanothus especially the pretty blue flowers and the shiny green leaves..

My 'Yankee Point' is 12 years now ,growing strong & looking good, It will be a blow when it dies :o(

Which Ceaothus is it Dd. I have Concha, still in bud at the mo. i adore those small dark green leaves.
