White Rock and Redpoll

We put nyjer seed in a feeder for the birds. These redpolls visited us in spring 2008, but we haven't seen them since. The white rock (backdrop) is planted in the garden wall.

just looked up about this bird i think they are here from October until march...but i get things wrong so you may need to check...

Great photo' alanb. I have noticed a few more redpoll than usual this year, over winter.

Thank you. Interesting, we haven't seen the redpolls or, come to think of it any goldfinches either for a long time.
I have also put fresh nyjer seed in the feeder, in case that was the problem.
