Eccremocarpus scaber

Hi Amy! Is this a newbie, or are you managing to overwinter it. It's a lovely plant, but I'm sure I could only grow it as an annual here. I remember seeing it all over the place in Tenerife in January. It was in full bloom there then. :)

No Karen ,it's over wintered in fact it even had the odd flower in the winter I have another plant which has red and pick blooms ,Thanks Angela let me know if you would like seed !

I am surprised and very pleased for you! I never thought it would survive, Norfolk has a reputation for cold winters....but these things are always exaggerated.

It's been quite mild this year Karen it could be why so many of us have been suffering with viruses and colds we haven't had the frosts to kill off the germs .......

Perhaps. Hope we have a good summer.....you never know, but two in a row does seem asking a bit too much!

This orange pure species is fully hardy. Never lost one here in Oxfordshire and it gets bitter here!
