A Collage of Primulas 2014

Such a lovely selection and I love the way you have put them together Carole ... I would like to know why your leaves aren't nibbled to bits though!

Aren't they lovely close together like this. And the colour is very precious at this time of year. Some of mine are going over now, which is great as it gives me another excuse to visit the GC for some spring colour. It's so windy here today...it looks lovely from indoors, but I was nearly blown right over out there earlier. Still, the laundry is all drying super fast, and so far we've not lost any in the farmers field!

Thanks Shirley, I have been lucky upto now but guess it wont be long before the slimy critters will be gobbling them up, saw a few yesterday when I was cutting the lawn !!

It's a shame they have to finish,Carole..such lovely colours,and another pretty collage..I found one slug on the paving this morning..heading towards mine..It didn't make it :o)

Hi Kathy, yes it does have bronze foliage, it was new last year and I dont remember the name;0( but I will send you a piece when it gets a little bigger if you like?

Another pretty selection Carole I'm going out on a snail / slug watch tonight something has been eating huge amounts off my Hollyhock leaves :o(

Morning - I have just looked at my Primulas and one has all but succumbed to slugs - I found a couple of cream coloured thin ones - yuk! About to plant out two new Hollyhocks - slug pellets will be scattered!

Oh dear Shirley, sorry to hear of the damage the slimy critters have done, think I may well put down some pellets too, no damage to date butIm sure it will soon begin;0(

Carole, I saw a silver trail on one of the more established Hollyhocks today - hate the slugs and snails! And a tiny, tiny snail on a Tulip leaf :o(

I have been out in the garden all day and have put down some slug pellets, I havent had any to date but your experience as prompted me to act quickly! hope you are able to contain them Shirley its heartbreaking to see the damage they do xx

I find that snails like to climb up the fence and munch on anything they come across on the way! :o(

Hi Shirley, I have climbing snails too I found one inside on the window where I have cuttings and seeds develping;0(

Yuk! Any Tadpoles in the pond yet Carole?

Shirley I was cleaning some of the weed out and Bingo a tiny little Tadpole wriggling like mad, needles to say I put him back quickly, given me lots of hope for more;0)
