Our version of the Blackbird. These like certain colours of daylilies, and in one area, it is difficult to see the flower before it gets ripped apart.

Good looking bird. Looking very healthy. Must be your daylilies nutrition. I have numerous challenges with my wildlife :-(

When I first moved to my house, the wildlife wasn't used to people. With the help of my cats, we got the mice, rats, rabbits, and a lot of pesky birds under control in most of the areas.

Handsome fella :-)
I have the same problem here but with magpies they love the yellow and red ones grrr.
Something is having a go at the iris this year too at the bottom of the garden,a couple with buds showing have had the stems pecked at and are nearly snapped off can't see that area from the house so don't know what's doing it.

There are too many of these handsome fellows. The farmers are starting to get the ground ready for planting, so maybe they will go there and leave me alone for a while. :)

They are very courageous this time of year and fight other blackbirds who come to feed in the garden. Good photo.

Thanks. These guys are lurking all year long and my cats are too lazy to try to catch them.
