Philadelphus coronarius aureus (mock orange)

Philadelphus coronarius aureus (mock orange)

One of my favourite shrubs, even before it flowers, so bright and cheery.

Love this - it does brighten a shady bed - but I hadn't realised they could get this big!

I used to find that frosts ruined mine, so If I do get another, it will be going somewhere a little protected.

Kathy, they are soooo bright. Hi Sheila, yes they do get big, I never prune mine mind. Now I find Karen, that the dry summer winds tinge the edges of the leaves but the frosts dont seem to get mine which is weird as we get late ones.

Ours never got that large, but I love it for the bright yellow foliage and then the flowers are a bonus...
