Thanks Holly, thanks Kathy. Maybe its because there is so much vermin around, lol. 2 more furbie babies, ha ha.
Last year they didnt emerge until 31st May, probably because its been a mild winter.

Wonderful having owls in your garden. Like fluffy grey dumplings. I wonder are they able to go back in their box? They don't look feathered for flying or even fluttering yet Dawn. We have more modest baby birds. A baby starling under our canopy and some fluttery baby sparrows on the path being fed. A blackbird on eggs in the Ribes too. I think they are a bit early as well.

That's fantastic Dawn I'm pleased for you , John made a good job of their home they like it just fine , you are so lucky ,we never did get a box up the old Oak tree we were going to use for that purpose , it had to come down we left about 8/10 ft to grow Clems up .....

Hi Dorjac, we didnt initially think they went back into the box but after seeing 1 on Friday night and then vanishing until this morning, we think they must. Been so windy and wet today, they vanished again this afternoon so guess they went back in again. So pleased you have birds nesting too, we had baby robins.

Hi Karen, thanks, yes, the mice will have to watch out.
Hello Bloomer, yes, its hard to resist looking up at them, looking down on you, lol.
Hiya Amy, hope your OK. Yes, seems more special as John made the nestbox and its actually worked. Probably as well you didnt site the nestbox then. The clematis will look lovely.

Is it nesting box, Dawn, on which they are standing?

I am relieved to find they can go in and out in this horrible weather since they were first out. I always find I get rather anxious over nesters in our garden, as it is so dangerous for them. Cats and magpies being the villains. Saw a little puffed up baby robin, looking a bit lost on the path this morning. The blue tits seem the ablest parents....very attentive and sparrows too.
