I put "Growmore" general fertilizer around the garden last night ... glad they got the weather forecast right. All nicely washed in now.

Hi W1nk, the garden isn't for sale on it's own, you would have to buy our house as well ... lol <]:-)) Glad you like it.

Thank you Klahanie, it is quiet, all you hear is the birds singing, Oh and of course the farmers tractors occasionally.
Thank you Carole and Jane. Wendy and I designed this, we studied the sun for a few months to make sure we had the patio in the correct place .....But, it doesnt really matter where you put the patio, when it's pouring with rain all day.

It's beautiful - I love looking at the garden when it's raining, it takes on a different dimension don't you think.

Thanks Angie, totally agree, very different after heavy rain, fresh, clean and a different a fragrance. Also saves many, many hours of watering pots! Yippee .... No watering tonight.... <]:-))

Was thinking the exact same thing Alan. Lucky me too as I broke the outside tap on Thursday and although I'm usually capable of carrying out such things, for some strange reason, I can't get the thing to stop dripping. I'm hoping my son's friend comes down tomorrow to do it for me!

Angie, I'm sure your friends son will fix it. In the meantime maybe pop a trug under the tap to collect the drips.
Thanks Homebird, we had a lot of fun designing this. We have been looking at some old photos, taken when we first moved in (18 years ago now). I will do a blog in the winter when the growing season is over.

A lovely garden so well designed, and nothing to spoil your view...

Thank you Dd2. I have some old photos and our original, sketched plan. I will do a blog later on in the year when I have a bit more time. I love seeing gardens develop from a blank canvas or a basic shape into something picturesque. There certainly have been a lot of GoY members that have achieved this. Most satisfying.

Awww! I do love your garden and the backdrop you have, you have planed your garden to a tee and like the others I would love your garden, its a credit to you :o))

Thanks Jackie, we love it. Being a keen golfer, it's very apt you use the expression, " planned to a tee". I will do a blog later this year to tell the story of it's development from a blank canvas.

He! He! That was very apt of me LOL, Can't wait to see your Blog Alanb :o))

Your garden is lovely......the fields beyond are great.....hope they will not be built on in the future!

Jackie, I will probably do the "design and development of our garden" blog in the winter when I have a bit more time. I have to scan in some "before photos", as we started this project 19 years ago. I didn't have a digital camera then, unfortunately.
Cosmosjane, thank you. The fields have had crops on for the last few years, wheat/corn and sometimes potatoes. It is "green belt", but you just can't tell what might happen these days.
