Side shoots as in root runners?

No just new growth from the main stem , pull a nice little strong looking piece off with a heel dip it in some hormone and pot it up .. I did mine soon after I bought the plant last year I'll check to see what time of the year it was ! it was October which means I must have taken them soon after and over wintered them ... I'm always game to try this kind of thing at any time of the year if it works o.k if it doesn't we haven't lost much !
