Japanese peony

How lovely those blooms look huge !

So pretty I bought this one earlier in the year, I must check it out and see if its still around;0)

Beautiful peony!

Oh, lovely. Ours stopped blooming a month ago. Japanese "wooden" peonies are beautiful, but their disadvantage to normal peonies is that they bloom for a very short time. I think, mine bloomed just a week. What abouts yours?

These bloom for a while. They had lots of buds in different stages. So I am cutting off the spent blooms and the buds are still opening. I think for about 3 weeks now. I believe that these plants were planted by the original owners of this house.
