Double Clematis (Help with ID please).

Can't help with ID Alan - what ever it is, its very nice.

So pretty - take a look at the clematis page - several come to mind Milky has one very much like it but no name or theres Spritzehenry's 'Vyvyan Pennell' and Amy's Barbara Jackman.
It may be easier to name when the centre opens.

Denise it IS Vyvyan Pennell. Thank you. We recognised the name. As you correctly say it looked quite different when fully open and also easier to identify.

It was Jaques photo in the GoYpedia that also confirmed it for us.

Oh thats great, it is lovely to have a name for something so pretty.

I thought it must be VP as well, it's absolutely gorgeous. I tried to grow it once, but it didn't like my waterlogged soil. I might try it again one day, now that I'm no longer gardening on a bog!
