Crocosmia Lucifer. Another early flowering plant

Is it true that this is better behaved than the more common orange form?

Lucifer is always in flower in my border in July so I am not thinking it is early here. lots of the other crocosmia are later than Lucifer so there will be some more colour later on in summer. Autumn is a longgggggggggggggg way off yet Amy. lol
