I was totally disgusted by lily beetles this year!!!

Last year lily beetles ate up all the leaves while I was away even though I tried to kill them, eggs, adults and all, whenever possible. Eventually, all my lilies didn't flower because there were no leaves left.
I'd love to know what everybody does in order to get rid of them.

Funnily enough, I enjoy looking for and "executing" adult beetles but I can't stand the mere sight of cr*p-covered larvae. Just horrible to look at and getting rid of :-(

Red lily beetles spoil the plants and the only way is to squash them or put them on the ground and grab a stone to do the trick. They seem to hide very fast when you look through the leaves for them and they tend to dive to the earth too. They do make a mess of the plants though.

It seems there's no other easy way for us to fight against red lily beetles except by the method you mentioned. Yes I know, they dive into the ground when you chase them. So annoying!
