This has grown really well since planting 2 years ago ... up to about 7ft. now.

Gave mine away to my neighbour last week! I have though persuaded her to plant it over the fence where I can still see it and enjoy it.

Yes Karen, it will be pruned hard in the Spring ... I noticed leaves from the neighbour's Beech tree are falling already ... it's so very dry down here which may explain that.

Will you cut it hard in the spring Shirley? or do you want it really big? I really love this plant. I have two baby ones behind the pod which will really 'hug' it in the years to come.
