From how many stems is this crop?

anything left to taste it? lol

from the end of one of the main stems, Not as much as last year but I would say between 1/4 and 1/3 of the crop off this vine.
I have grown some smaller stems of the main ones and will shorten those for next year so as to get a better n bigger crop next year

It does seem to have been a funny year for some things DD2.

I wouldn't normally buy the ones in the supermarket Junna but these I just use for juicing. Not that many juices but very healthy none the less : )

Steve, when pruning, make sure you leave enough fruit buds on; these are the plump buds formed this year, and are on the stem, where this years leaf falls off. If you have long rods of this year's growth; say two to four feet long, pencil thick, and nut-brown (ie ripe wood) tie this in horizontaly: this is called, "replacement" pruning. If you only have 6" to 12"of ripe wood, cut it back leaving 2 or 3 fruit buds; this is spur pruning. Grapes will only grow from ripe fruit buds produced the previous season.

Will do David
Gonna cut back my large vine in my small poly to make it more compact but will indeed leave enough fruit buds on.
Its got a bad attack of scale though, what would you suggest chem free, bit of oil in a spray or washing up liquid, garlic mix?

I have let my newer vines just grow this year in the big poly so will give them a major bit of training n pruning and hopefully they will do the business next year

Regarding the scale insect Steve, the traditional method of control is, appying Meths with a cotton-wool bud; this works, disolving the wax protection on the scale, then scrape them off with a plastic card. I have done this with a light infection in my conservatory; if your infection on the vine is extensive, put the meths on with a small brush. This meths method is slow and a bit messy, but it works. Check again after a few weeks, a some eggs will hatch and grow. again Yes, apply tar-oil winter-wash, in the dormant season.

How lovely, wine comes to mind. When we lived down the road we had a south facing garden with a stone wall along the bottom and we grew our grapevines there. They did very well and we made wine with the grapes. We kept them pruned and the goodness went into the grapes.
