Thanks Tuesday - I think so too!
Thank you Klahanie - maybe about a dozen. I'll count them tomorrow :)

Lovely! Is that moss at the base? It sets it off beautifully.

Actually Karen, moss WOULD look good, but this is a self-seeded little groundcover plant which has lilac-coloured flowers. OH thinks the trunk would look better without it, but I like it so it stays!

I think your little plant looks like Erinus alpinus (fairy foxglove)! I say that because it has also self-seeded in a lot of my pots :o)

Thanks Annella . . . I'll Google it. I've just taken one or two more bonsai pics, and there's more of this plant on one of them. I'll be giving you a mention on the photo of the Silver Birches!

I will look out for them :o) I planted the Erinus in my front garden a couple of years ago, not an invasive plant so I keep the seedlings.

At first I thought it was a geranium. I'll look up Erinus. Thanks.

Klahanie . . I've done a short blog to show some of my bonsai collection. Taking the photos made me realise that several are in need of attention!

Thanks Terra, I think it is the 'star' :)

You've obviously put a lot of thought into the shape, but the end result looks very natural and nice :o)
