Does it flower for you through the winter?

Thankyou :-) it is so huge now Dawn and Amy I can't bring myself to prune it it's such a lovely shape, the most it's had is one branch that was hanging over the path and stabbed OH every time he cut the grass, there's a path behind it, thought I'd best cut it know what he's like with a machete lol.
It does Wylie, it's a bit early this year I think but it's usually still flowering at Christmas, the insects love it with not much else being around by then :-)

Fab display, Simbad! Love it! I should get one! My parents used to grow them from seed. Maybe I'm going to get some seeds from my parents' garden in Jan/Feb next year (I booked flights tonight to go back to J, for 27 days! Yes!). But wait a sec. Maybe seeds won't be ripe? Too bad!

I've never grown it from seed Tommymoo but I have seen the seeds on it so I'll make a note to save you some.
Wow can tell your very excited about your trip home, bet you don't get to go to often have a wonderful time :-)

Awww...
How very kind of you Simbad, you're my super star!
Thanks for your best wishes for the trip back to my home. I'm so excited about it, thinking what to eat and where to go. Sushi, oysters, raw fish, Kobe beef, fresh winter veggies, lots of different citrus fruits. Going to hot springs, China Town, nice restaurants etc! Can't wait :-)

Its lovely isn't it Dd, I need more things for winter interest :-)
29 Oct, 2014
Last year we realised we had hardly any winter interest, so we decided to buy more evergreen shrubs....so pleased we did.

That's what I need to do really, its where to put them with all my perennials lol, I do have a couple of lovely viburnum and skimmia and one of my hollies actually has berries this year too !! shouldn't think they'll last long with the birds.
Sounds like you've got a great trip planned Tommymoo, pity you don't have an extra large suitcase to fit me in ;-)

LoL Simbad !!
I could squeeze you in to my suitcase if you could use special "magic" and make yourself tiny like your Simba!
