very tropiacl...do you take it all in for winter?

Hi Sandra,
I'll bring in only the tender bananas, i.e., 4 Abyssinian Bananas (small bananas pictured around the middle). Tall bananas are Musa Basjoo, hardy bananas, and they will stay out. I'll leave all the cannas too where they are now because they do better that way.

thanks for that Tommy..my canna have survived outside for years...i have planted a ginger this year..not sure weather to leave it out or not..

Sandra,
As for gingers, it depends on the species whether you should leave it out or not. I leave mine because it's hardy. Please check out the blog below about gingers from THE EXOTIC GARDEN in Norwich:

That's huge Tommymoo, I've grown them in the past but only in pots and never had one anywhere near as big as yours, everything looks wonderful!!

Thanks Simbad ♪ ♪ ♪

I think cannas should be grown in the ground, not in pots unless you plant them in huge pots.
