I always have lots and lots of ice in my freezer. The morning lows have been cooling down a bit from the warm nights we've had for so long (this is due to the warm Pacific Ocean temps still in low 70's [22ºC], which is above normal.

This tree is a few miles from where I live. There's several very beautiful plumeria trees in my neighborhood, though...and I have many plumeria trees.

I wish I lived on "Easy Street"! LOL! :>)

Thats not 'plastic pink' is it? San Diego- even soucal- has many more Plumeria then I thought. When I was last in L.A.,I saw just one waist high in Beverly Hills(just pass'in by)..now your posts and these new programs about moving all over soucal on HGTV,I see a lot of them. Celadine wins most abundant...but the reds and pinks not far behind.
btw- I'm almost scared that we will be as far as the weathercast can see in the 70's AND 80's! At least we had a few good soakers so far.

We are in Mexico now and we have 5 or 6 Plumerias in our yard but none of them blooms . They started to bloom when we were leaving up north in late March.

Where in old Mexico? I have to check your blog. I hope many pics!

This plumeria has a little yellow in the flower. It's not plastic pink. Not sure which variety it is, though.

Large plumeria trees are very plentiful in most of Southern California. You see big plumeria trees when driving on the 5 freeway hanging over or towering above the tall sound walls throughout most of LA and Orange Counties. I think the largest "known" plumeria tree in Southern California is in Orange County...it's about 40' tall, now. I've been told by some friends that there some in San Diego approaching this height. Most maintain heights between 15 and 25' tall, though.

That's strange the plumeria trees are not flowering in Mexico. Plumeria trees typically bloom over a very long period of time. Here in San Diego they can start blooming in April and flower through December...and sometimes sporadic blooms in Jan and Feb.

I will have to go to town to see if there are some still blooming there but the ones on this property are not :-(
I know there are couple of celadines in front of the house and some pinkish at the back. I would love to see them blooming.

Yep,we are having a nice 78f day..and San Diego a scorching 91f. Andy,where are you again ? La Mesa? I saw one of those show about buying a home there. The upscale tract homes had large Rivularis in front of every other home. And,they looked great...that size when the fronds are coconut like.

Manzanillo produces great Mangoes right?

I have seen many farms producing limes, coconuts, mangoes and bananas but I think that the area is known mainly for coconuts and limes. (I could be wrong though).

I live in San Diego. I'm very close to San Diego State University...which isn't too far from La Mesa (is a few miles to the east)...and yes, it was very hot yesterday 90ºF (32ºC). Today is suppose to be even hotter, if you can believe it. This weather is not good for our drought.
