Fatsia japonica 'Spider's Web' - 2014 (Fatsia japonica)

I think this is a 'marmite' plant - you either love it or hate it! Some people think the leaves look permanently diseased, but I enjoy the markings. Slow growing to eight feet, this tolerates dry shade and neglect. Tolerates? It positively thrives on neglect. This had just two leaves when it was planted early last year, and has had no attention since, not even the odd drop of water. A great plant for what could be a problem site - if you like it!

Interesting structure.

The fruit is similar to the mock castor oil plant that thrives in my garden , Andrew .

I have a two year old Fatsia that has had an amazing amount of flowers on this year. Must be a good year Andrew.

Personally I love ours, and would not call it slow growing though!! ours is in too good a soil, so needs to be moved to the back of the border....

I planted my Fatsia in front of the compost bin to hide it.

I have this, Andrew, and mine looks wonderful too, except that it has no flowers. :-(

That's a shame, although it's a good foliage plant anyway.
