My wife bought last year one of those "roll of flowers" mail order. I planted them in a long wooden planter. A lot of Alyssums ..and some of this. Whatever it is.

Ah,Howell,i think that's it. My first guess was Snapdragon,but the more I looked at it..had many doubts!
Interesting that this is second generation from spring and summer. Blooming in December caught me by surprise- anything blooming in December is a treat.

Snapdragon is very closely related to Linaria - which has nearly 100 species.
