These Cornus are going in with low growing grasses, especially Libertias.

It's the cold winds that always get to mine. I should have left them in Carnoustie. The other one that is planted in front of the hedge actually looks ok though.

They do bounce back again........we take lots of the tatty leaves off during the season.

Are the variegated Fatsias less hardy than the plain green ones? I have often been tempted.

Not here Gee, I could not say for anywhere else in the country, they are a fairly tough plant and have taken some rough weather here.
