My African Tulip Tree Flowering (Spathodea campanulata)

My African Tulip tree has been flowering for two years straight. This is amazing because this time of the year it's typically semi-dormant or semi-deciduous. It has dozens of new flower buds coming out, also. This is due to the very hot temps we've had for the second winter in a row. Photo taken Feb. 17, 2015.

Yes, a nice summer-look in the middle of winter. lol!
Yes, the sugar can is usually a lot taller; however, with the drought it's shorter this year. This sugar cane variety is grown commercially in Vista (in northern San Diego County).
