Rhododendron 'Starlight Champagne'

Thank you Pansypotter, It is unusual rhodie with very pretty new growth.... and blooms early, which I like.
It is raining here today so no gardening for me.

Is this a minature rhodedendron? It's really lovely.

Linda, this is not a miniature. I have it for 3 years now and it is already 3'. I think they suggest 4'x4' at maturity but I have a feeling it will be larger than that. It has quite a few buds now but this was a first opened bloom on the bottom..

4x4 isn't too big though is it. Some of them get enormous. I'm thinking about growing one in a pot as we only have a tiny garden. I have a very small one out the front that is red and that never gets much bigger.

It is not too big for our property Linda. I have many of them larger than that. We have several acres here. And some of them do not mind to be pruned at all. I have dwarf Rhododendron Ramapo in a pot and it is very pretty. Lilac in color and has very nice shape. Smothered with flowers. Also one called "Jingle bells" is going well in half barrel. There are many beautiful small rhododendrons and azaleas that can be grown in the pot.
I will watch which one you will choose (if any) :-)

Let me know what you will choose Linda. I have noticed that sometimes you have different varieties in UK than us here in Canada.

Hi Klahanie I have bought a miniature rhodedendron called Crane. I will put the photo up later. Gerry has put it in a pot for me.
