Very nice. Mine are flowering too. I just wish those wild ones didnt look the same as the cultivated ones until they flower. I have them popping up all over and always forget where my 'proper' ones live.

Have G, Queen of Orange, similar colour.
Dawnsaunt, Where do the wild ones come from? Do the named varieties seed revert to wild type? Just pulled out 3 large wild type, or maybe it was creeping buttercup!

Hi Siris, I dont know where the wild ones come from, they are in my woodland and garden and seem to seed around. I dont think the named varieties revert. The wild ones here have tiny yellow flowers, I think they are Geum urbanum, wood avens. Have quite big roots, a real pain.

Yes, that's the three, little yellow flowers as you say.

Thanks everyone glad you like it :-)
Oh those wild ones are a pain Dawn I've been digging them up by the bucketful .

I know. I have them in the wood too, do you leave them be in your wood?

5 May, 2015

No that's where I've been digging them all up nearly as bad as the other thing I won't mention lol.

I see, you are busy. OMG that CP is going madder than ever, swamped some bluebells. I must not let it happen next year. Im sure weeds generally have grown overnight after the rain.

They have haven't they the flipping CP's nearly flowering here aaaaargh.

I know, the flowers are looming, some of mine are about 3 feet tall and growing by the minute, if I deal with them now, the area will look worse ..... I am definitely making a diary note to dig them up next March when they appear, they look so innocent when first emerging but they've got to have it.
