Wonderful Dawn! Took eight people for a stroll yesterday through a bluebell wood, and we all marvelled at the sight of that purple/blue colour en masse . . . one of the blessings of living in the UK :)

Oh yes they look wonderful!! all that hard work planting is paying off :-)
We went to a nearby bluebell wood too last Sunday, in Everton, Karen will know where that is ;-), glorious sunny day and the scent was amazing, there was also a huge area of stitchwort which looked lovely too:-)

Thanks Kathy. It is good when all those hours we spend out there pays off. Pleased you enjoyed your woodland walk, sounds perfect. Stitchwort, googled, love it, want it, getting it. ... :)

Hi Sheila. Your friends, thanks to you, had a lovely experience, bluebells are very special.

We have bluebell here too..just. Funny how some things are so behind you in England but others aren't. I agree with Sheila...you can't enjoy a bluebell wood anywhere but the UK. It's definitely one of the joys of living here. There's not much better than a walk in a bluebell woodland. Even better if there's water to enjoy as well. Kathy, I certainly know Everton, but I don't know where the bluebell woods are. :)

What a lovely thing to say Dawn - the group certainly were very appreciative; we only had a small shower of rain, and dried off in a local pub :))

As you drive through Everton on the main road to Bawtry look to your right and you see the woods Karen, first right turn after the last house takes you down a long narrow round right to them, as Robs from Everton we've had many walks there while visiting his Mum ,when we had our dogs.
Robs Mum had a picture painted for us for Christmas one year of an area in there by a local artist, which hangs in our hall :-)
