Although they do seed around I like to have a few in the garden...

I only seem to have the odd yellow one now,as the Orange ones have taken over..and into both my neighbours borders adjoining mine..luckily they both like them,as much as I do :o) I agree, they are hard to dig out completely..I can already see lots of tiny ones appearing,so the hoe will be in use this weekend..you can have too much of a good thing :o) I do try to take the seed heads off before they drop, but you could be at it every day..

They grow in all the hedgerows around here, but I can't get them to grow in the garden ... very strange :(

When we moved here they were everywhere so I had a battle to get rid of them. They are o.k. if one has the space but with only having a small garden I keep them at bay as they still throw up seedlings.

I like them too, they don't seem to take over even though they do pop up here and there!

Wildrose although they pop up here and there, they are easy to deal with.....
Lindak they must like your soil?
Hywel I know what you mean, I have been trying to get some orange ones which are literally growing in the pavement!! to take but no luck!
HB I can grow the cabbage like ones, which luckily pull out easily, but some of the other varieties are quite challenging!
Sandra I tend to take the seed heads off, which then keeps them from going mad....
Siris I like them because they are thin!! if you know what I mean, that is why I like the Spanish one also.

Me too Dd, and the orange single, and the double (although different genus) but its needs a trowel to get out the tap root of the ones in the wrong place.
