This is a herbaceous plant......label is lost.....could anyone recognise it please?

I think it is the plant I am looking for called Gillenia trifoliate. Few GOY members grow it. If I remember correctly :Daylily, Andrewr, Dottydaisy have one in their garden.

I agree. I love it. I had it in my last garden and need to get one for here. it flowers for ages...and the autumn colour is superb too!
