First runner beans

Snap, Amy! We had some this evening ... grown in huge pots this year.

They were very tasty Shirley I always enjoy the first crops of new veg ,we had ours with fish ,carrots, new potatoes with a blob of butter .....

Lovely ...

Not a sign of any beans on mine yet :(

How did they get their name, Amy, please?

Thank you Shirley ,yours won't be too long Waddy ! Kat I believe its because the plants twist round and run up to the top of the poles which support them when you are children you are told that if you eat up all your runner beans you will be able to run faster Lol ...
