I like its covering of moss and lichen and it is great for climbing when the twins are here!

Does it still give you fruit Chris? I love the lichen too, but sometimes wonder if it stops air getting to the tree. Scott started removing it from ours this spring...which was quite funny to watch, and I don't know if it did the least bit of good..but it kept him busy! ;)

Yes, we get a wonderful crop of Bramleys from it most years.

Good! We dont have a single Bramley this year. Late frost in June. :(

Such a wonderful tree, Chris, and how lovely to have Bramleys. My neighbour had an old Bramley which fruited prolifically. When they moved the new neighbours cut it down (!)
