I have not tried the yellow ones yet but I like those too. These are 4th generation from seeds I've planted years ago. They self seed quite reliably even after the birds eat their share. They bloom incessantly until frost and are problem free.

The late bloom is one of the things I do like. I plant Alyssum, cosmos (the orange one) and marigolds. In the fall it still looks great, in fact it really comes into its own.I am very partial to the French Marigold.

Same here, French Marigolds are the only kind I grow.

I used to think Marigolds were for kids, but have changed my mind. I think the colors are wonderful and also their reliable habits. Have you tried the taller ones, light yellow. I did for this first time, Quite good. Thanks for reminding of this one. My garden have been only so-so with the water situation. We finally had some yesterday, but it's too late! There is always somebody's garden that looks terrific.
