Nice one! Mine were so late to get started there's no hope of flowers this year.

Meanie, last year took them out of the borders, and put in large containers, otherwise they would have taken over the garden, just disappointed I must have given Anne Bishop, and Gold Spot away, should have labeled them!!
Any they will stay outside with some fleece around them, if you fancy a tuber your very welcome?

Thats kind of you Angela ,I would love one but think I'll decline at the moment as we're not sure of our plans for the future here that is unless I was to keep it in a container ... perhaps not , we will see if the plans for building houses around us goes ahead first ,its taking ages to find out whats happening !

Karen /Angela they are try to get plans passed for perhaps 200 homes on the fields round us ,what is holding them up at the moment is access , this all cropped up a few years ago we went to look at the plans at the time and guess what they had put a roadway across our garden ! we soon told them there was now way we were selling a part of our garden ,they didn't like it ,it looks as if they will be able to come in by a different route as a tractor yard is moving out beyond the hedge I'm guessing he has been paid to move elsewhere , time will tell ,we've had our peace and quiet for so long its heart breaking at our age we could be living on a building site for the rest of our lives , I think we would have to move :o( ...

Oh dear Amy, that would not be at all pleasant, we had the same problem here a huge estate was built behind the houses behind us, and although it did not interfere with us, the noise was shocking, because of the ground problems the builders had to use pile drivers, which used to shake the house, and the noise went on for years, mind you it was lovely when they finished, so quiet!!

Did you get use to it Angela ? it frightened me when you said the noise went on for years !

Well it was a massive project, with hundreds of houses, and because the land had drainage problems, it took twice as long....in the summer it drove us mad, because they started early in the morning, you need to find out just when, how long, and the number of houses being built, I am sorry to say we did not get used to it, but it was heaven when it was finished, and now thank goodness a dim and distant memory.........

I can imagine what it was like I'm afraid it would be worse for us as we have one single dirt track leading to our bungalow with a field on either side of the track plus another field across the field the other side of the ditch which they want to build on ,the track would be a mud bath churned up with heavy equipment unless they put roads in first .. nothing has been decided yet !
