Garden looking wind-blown!

Wow, that is some size garden. Upstairs? I thought the birch was a topary and the green house for gnomes!

Your weeping betula is so neat, mine is not, First glance I thought it was a sandstone mushroom.

Lovely view from your upstairs window Sheila. You still have lots of leaves around. How old is your Betula pendula youngii? I do not remember seeing it in your pictures before. Looks very mature. It is a nice feature in your garden.

Thanks Dawn - OH gives the betula a trim now and then, but I think it is largely down to luck!
Thank you Karen, and Klahanie. I'd read that the Betula pendula youngii was suitable for small gardens, so we put it in soon after moving here, which was in 1979. Every visitor to the garden comments on it and seems to like it!

You're very kind, Sandra. At this time of year, some of our gardens are best seen from a distance :)

I looked at the photo again, and its funny....the Betula definitely 'reads' like a topiary....and that makes the greenhouse look really tiny. I've tried, but cant persuade my brain to recognise the Betula as a large tree! Anyone else having this little fantasy? Lol!
