Karen my Blackberry and Apple is looking its best now, it seems to love this damp weather...although this is not a fortunei.... I hope it will be as hardy....

Are you going to put it into the border Dd? My purple-leaved fortunei 'Silver Velvet' really suffered last winter with wet. The leaves looked soggy and rotted, but I have managed to rescue it.

That was my intention Siris.....I would hate to lose it, will put plenty of grit under it, and hope for the best!!
Karen it does look like a house plant!

My S. Stolonifera, mother of thousands does ok outside, but is hasn't got pink/red leaves.

Obviously a different variety then?

Yes, Dd, the old fashioned original one, often used as a pot plant with strawberry-like runners. I wonder if Kinki will have runners?
