While taking pics this morning I came across a few things out of sync including this Forsythia flower. Usually flowers in spring before the leaves come out. What's going on?

Me too. I spotted a few others today out of sync. I have a
white Astrantia major about to flower, my Clianthus has lots of flower buds although I think a good frost will see them off, Hellebores flowering already and hardy Fuchsias looking so good I can't cut them back yet. I'm already counting the days till 21/12 to start going back a couple of minutes a day of extra daylight. How sad am I?

I'm doing the same :-) , although I keep getting a little reminder how many weeks it is as our daughters birthdays the 22nd.

That is unusual. I have seen lots of plants giving a second flush of flowers but never forsythia . Lucky you :-)
