We have had no frost and we are into December. No wonder the plants are confused.

Yes! it is a treat, Janey. I am concerned that it will be weakened and when the cold weather does arrive it may die. I've had that happen in my town garden... beautiful show from the Delphs in late October ..and the plants were gone the next spring! extinct...disappeared... sad.
Yes, we and the plants need that nip to set us right, Linda!
All this strangely warm weather is so nice to experience, M. but leaves us waiting for the other shoe to drop!... I've been dreading this winter because I was worried it would be like the last two ... extreme cold and lots of snow with a very late cold spring... This year it's supposed to be (according to the Almanac) warm until late Jan..then a very cold February and a late cold spring!... too much variety for my liking!

Who knows Lori, I never put much faith in long term weather predictions. Just enjoy your balmy winter days whilst you can.

Buffalo NY has not had any snow this year- the latest ever.
For me? An average winter. That's fine.

Your plants seem as confused as ours, nice but worrying indeed.
