Garrya eliptica looking better than it did a month ago but I think planting it in the ground could be the answer.

This is about the same size as my Garrya, Thorney, but for some reason there are no tassels this year.....I wonder why?

Thanks Bathgate, it was only a month or so ago I was asking why it looked so sad and now it's produced it's tassels, hence the name 'Tassel tree'. I think I'm going to take the advice given and plant it in the ground. At the moment it's in a huge pot and was fed in spring but here at Heathrow we are prone to strong wind so that could be the answer too.

Ah maybe that's it then Kathy. I did post a question about it, Bamboo saying it could have been lack of water....which could be the case with mine....I shall have to take more notice of it this next year. It's one of those plants though that's not very noticeable until it gets those tassels.....

This plant reminds me of a church I used to attend - with its hanging light fixtures - very elegant.
