Oh, Union City...well, I was close. There's been so much growth there since I moved away from the San Francisco Bay Area more than 15 years ago.

I know- too much. But so far I'm hanging on to a 10b winter. No frost damage Andy- I even have the A.arabica on the porch. I read they are one of two cool tolerant Adeniums. A.swazicum actually can take light frosts. A great looking flowerer too.

That's great! Adenium species are hardy here. They just don't want water (or not much) in winter. I killed two of my unusual varieties 3 or 4 years ago. It was so warm and dry I watered them when they should have just been kept completely dry. Plumerias are a little different they want a little water during our hot, dry winter weather. I've lost some of them to being so completely dried out in winter. I never win! LOL!

Plumeria obtusa still in leaf. It had defoliated by November last year. One year older and hardier.

Big rains as of tomorrow. I was pulling grasses away from the dry plants that hate being kept wet at their bases. Next year,some major redoing of the succulents in the rentals backyard- too shady now that a large tool shed was put in.

We're suppose to get some light rain tonight. Next week some colder rains are suppose to arrive by Christmas Day. I guess it's not going to be like the last several Christmas Days when we had temps from: 80 to 85 degrees. It's actually going to feel like Christmas this year.

NOW it looks like its going to be coldest of the year. Best case? 37f..worst they say 32f. I don't think it will get that cold. 34f I would bet on. Just enough to spare me. I hope it doesn't blacken Banana leafs..that's one ugly sight.

Los Angeles and San Diego should see 39f on Saturday morning. Cold.

I think it's highly unlikely it'll get to 39 degrees in San Diego maybe in low 40's. It's so rare that the official temp at Lindbergh Field ever falls below the low 40's. We shall see, though. The coldest morning is forecasted to be on Saturday.

This morning (Dec. 26th) was the coldest morning of the year. It was 40 degrees here where I live. It hasn't been this cold in a long, long time.

Lindbergh Field, San Diego's official temp. had a low of 46 degrees. That very cold for that location. Tomorrow morning suppose to much warmer. So glad it's not going to be as cold tomorrow! BRRR!
