Long lasting blooms. It just looks so nice on my kitchen counter.

There is a way to cut the stem to make it a plant again. I need to figure out how to do it though, soon.

Nice colour and looks very healthy. They do say you can grow African Violets from leaf cuttings.

I found a very good Martha Stewart video on YouTube that shows how to 'decapitate' an African Violet and start new plants from old ones. Here is the link.

Too late now - I asked on Goy if anybody knew but nobody did. I've watched the link - so interesting - wish I'd seen it before. What a great collection of pretty ones he has!

At least you'll know for next time. Mine has already spawned so many little babies, I'd probably just keep a couple small ones and toss mom on the compost heap.

Not bothered about reproducing this one - its only a bog standard purple one - no pretty frilly edges like yours! But yes, I will know better next time...

Now you can get one of the fancy & chic varieties. When it comes time to repot, you'll know exactly what to do...Merry Christmas!

Nice. I had one of these for years and eventually grew a stem and looked like a little tree. Its descendant is more quiescent...
