Wow! That's some greenhouse! Seriously though, it's beautiful. I've only seen the one at Kew once, and it was stunning as is this one.

It is quite beautiful and was recently refurbished.

Klahanie - I go there a couple times per year, depending on what's on exhibit. They have the annual orchid show, the holiday train show, art exhibits and all kinds of events throughout the year. They also host all kinds of catering events, private parties, wedding receptions, graduations, business meetings, etc. You name it.

Siris - Yes they have thousands of rare and exotic plants inside, some of the plants border on extinction. It's especially nice during the winter when nothing is going my garden.

Julia - They have many fully mature palm and unusual trees inside - things I've never seen anywhere else.

The one at Kew is the same Paul. I found it facinating.

Lovely Paul. We visited the one in London several times and it's like being in another tropical place.

Yes, I can pretend I'm down in Key West or someplace. They have a little piece of the original woodlands from before the US was discovered, still untouched or developed. That's very interesting to walk through.

It's very important to preserve ancient trees and by keeping the seeds and cones they have some chance of survival. The way the forests are being cut and the pollution in the atmosphere, the earth is suffering including changes in the weather climate and the airflows. The weather is becoming more intense and will do so unless humanity does something about it.

That's terrifying. I even heard today that our bees are dying off. What some will do for the almighty dollar is very sad.

Bees can get diseases, but with their habitats being taken away with the wild flowers, and all the spraying going on, it doesn't help. There haven't been many butterflies this year either Paul. Money and possessions seem to be what's important to some instead of realising its not, but one does need enough to live on.
