Yes, 'they' are talking of Malaria carrying Mozzies in the near future if it continues warming up. But in Scotland we continue to have cold wet weather ALL year! Still....we have yet to see a Lily Beetle!

Oh no....I got rid of all my pots of lilies because of the beetle....horrid messy creatures. Soon be your holiday time?

Have a great holiday Karen, I normally go GC in Feb or March, just as the house martins/swallows arrive,,, big plus doesn't take long on the plane, what part you staying I go to Maspalomas.

Melonares thats where I stay as well why I said Maspalomas I dont know lol, lovely spot and the lovely walks on the very long promenade and the restaurants looking over the ocean and the beach for a paddle what more could you want, next time I go I will have to go and have a look around the mountain villages.
Evening entertainment is a bit Eurovison at times lol all part of the fun and all very nice and clean and I always feel safe walking around, big plus no hard sell hassle when shopping ...

I always get the two places muxed ip GG! :) Thanks, yes we enjoyed it last time, especially that long promenade with the shopping at one end and the beaches at the other. And yes, as you say...feels very safe and gentle and not noisy or crowded at all. :)
