Gnarly, You won't find as good a selection in the uk. I had already put in an order with Gombault Iris garden in Jan. 2015 and visited in June. Only a small Iris business, but delightful owners, really helpful and the plants I ordered arrived in good condition. I hope your order is as successful, seeing that you have already put them in 'Your Garden' !! I await the flowering of my 2015 s with impatience.

Ah but! Gg, my 2015 Gombault Iris purchases are growing in my real garden already, put in about July. Am hopeful to post My real photos of them this year into my Gou virtual garden.

Thank you ... not a bug but a cracker of a spot for them on the open plant front gardens where I live , dont want it looking messy as its between mine and next door ....

If you are thinking of breeding them, you need to be young! They take ages. And the first requirement, two compatable flowers, to open at the same time. You might be lucky.
Intermediates are usually sterile.
Dwarfs will cross with Talls ,but usually flower earlier. Pollen will sometimes keep a short while in the fridge, wrapped in cling film.
'Selfs' can be produced, but the male and female parts on the same flower are designed to prevent this.
I wrote a tongue in cheek blog in 2014 about hydridizing Iris. There is an American Iris nursery called Winterberry, with an excellent web site on hybridising. Also if you google allthingsplants, Iris, it tells you their ancestry and also if they have produced offspring.
First you have to produce seed, good luck! G-g.
