Hi Wylie,
This is the one I accidentally snapped the buds of the scape last year !!!
followed what you told me and more TLC , checked to day has 3 fans , so well pleased it has bulked up from one fan.
If you have time check out my photos and perhaps suggest a couple I could have a go with.
as far as I know ? no one sells here in the UK ?

Thanks Simbad I know you have been after this for a while but never seen it for sale , I had from Sheila in Devon when I bought a couple of others from her.
Plus this is the one I coudnt remember where I planted it as the label went missing !!!! magpie !!
So slow to bulk up but used seaweed fertiliser & tomato food and done the trick, so I know what it likes now.
Thanks Janey
When I seen the 1st bloom wow.

Thank you for showing the pic better than the googled one. G-g. Still think it looks like a washed out, old rag! You have sited it to it's best advantage, though.
Whilst on the subject of photos, had taken a pic of I 'Gypsy Lord' on my Iris fields visit, if you would like to see it.

If you had gone to www.joinerdaylilygardens.com you could have seen the hybridizers photo of this, and it is an amazing flower.
Gg: Do an advanced search on the AHS site to see 4 really spectacular doubles that used this as the pollen parent.
I would first use the obvious one: 'Gnarly Gnome', then 'Brown Witch', 'Tigereye Spider', and 'North Wind Dancer'. Of course there is "Jellyfish Jealousy'. If you have any DIP doubles (Lacey Doily?), use those as well.

thanks Wylie, have all in abundance
will give it a go and see what happens
This one won best seedling in the 2002 Savannah Show. It is one of Jan’s large unusual form doubles from her “Fluttering Beauty” series. The color is apricot cream with a lime green throat. The segments are long narrow and loose like an unusual form. The sepals and petals twist and turn. The center petaloids are ruffled. Scape 30"

Whylie, looked at the site to mentioned, lovely pics, will spend some time looking at it. It is an !out of this world ' pic of 'Fashion Leader.' Changed my mind about 'old rag' 'Octupus' springs to mind. Lol

I look at a site www.daylilydiary.com/ and a section called Hybridizer's Corner (which I bookmarked); and there is a huge list of hybridizer's that will link to their websites. It also lets you know who has updated their site recently. Great reference tool for daylilies.

Wylie, this all started from a chat about plants that are slow to increase.

And it is pleasing to see a plant picture, even out of season.

This has lots of potential if you cross it to those DIP spiders you have.
