Oh My thats a lot of snow ! Its big news in our daily paper Paul ,19 people reported to have died thats dreadful , the photos showed the snowploughs in Lexington Ave, New York , I hope you are keeping safe and warm ! apparently we are going to get lashed with rain this week from the fallout .......

A friend sent my wife a vid from Virginia...cars with big puffy snow clouds on them, 4' of snow when you open the front door.
The friend is from the Phillipines! "We cant go anywhere" she said.
We might be 65f and sunny today. I had to get that in-wink...

Thank you Amy. This storm was horrendous. It would literally suck the breath out of you if you tried to go out in it. I usually think the papers and TV hype it up a little, not in this case. Yes we've had some heartbreaking deaths occur.

A 3 year old little boy & his mama died from carbon monoxide poisoning when their car skidded off the road, then got plowed over and buried in the snow.

The City issued a travel ban and everything was shut down. Anybody caught driving would be issued a serious fine & have their car impounded. We are getting back to normal slowly but surely.

I'm about ready to pack my bags Stan. I'm still debating whether to head due West or down South - jambalaya or the San Francisco treat!? Decisions, decisions!

When you watch those moving to another home shows? There are three cities they usually say they will miss.
San Francisco. New York. London.

None are inexpensive. But people who live in them seem happy to be there.

One of those three never has snow. Almost never has frost!

Stan. Those are all great cities and I've been to all of them. One I would add to your short list is New Orleans: It's such a fun place to visit, good food, fun people, lots of music.

I'd love to live in New York and London for a year! I don't know how I could handle the winters, though.

Of course, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 35 years. So, I know all the many micro-climates there.

N.O. might get some road ice in winter..but its subtropical summers make the gators happy!

Hot coffee and toasted bagels just wouldn't do it for me. I don't drink coffee and I very rarely eat bagels. LOL! :>)
It's the truth, though.

I'm too used to it being warm in winter. Of course, last winter here was like the middle of summer. Not so much this year. Although, very warm temps are coming by the end of this week through next week. The meteorologists are forecasting mid-80's now for Sunday through Thursday next week for coastal inland San Diego (where I live). We're too spoiled here. :>)

I put the cable app weather on today..it was 68f in La Mesa at 9 in the morn.
Up north...slower warmup..mid 60's and sunny. The Super Bowl- something all goy members want to know-wink, might be as warm as 77f in Santa Clara on Sunday.

It was 68ºF here by 9:00 a.m., also. The high here today was 77ºF. Tomorrow will be warmer and it's forecasted to be close to 90ºF by Tuesday. Believe-it-or-not it's not too unusual for it to be this hot this time of year.
