Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs bought from Morrison's for £1-50 each yesterday. A bargain! The one on the left was curling in the box so I'm hoping it might straighten up. The two on the right are doubles, Pink Apple Blossom and Exotic Peacock, the others are white and red. Hoping they will all flower, fingers crossed.

What a bargain you got there, Thorneyside! :-))
You managed to get some very big, healthy bulbs there! They should give you at least 2 scapes (flowering stems) a piece in a few weeks time. :-))
In a few years you'll have as many as I've got! :-D)
I've currently 6 in flower at home with another half a dozen or more to come in the next week or two!
Have you read my blogs on how to care for them & get them to flower year after year like I do? I've written a lot of blogs on Amaryllis & if you need any help or advice at any time you can always get in touch with me through the forums or by PM. I can't always promise to know the right answer but I can always look it up on the Internet, there's a treasure trove of advice on all things out there!

Thanks Steragram and yes Balcony, I read your "care for"
instructions. I didn't realise you can lift them like daffs etc. I will certainly give it a try.
