Andrew OH was happy to have this because it is attractive it was the Ferox he wasnt keen on....but he has been persuaded lol it was half price and the top had been taken out!!
Klahanie it is a NZ shrub and very much evergreen, we have several varieties in the garden, they do vary quite a lot Google and see......!!
Thanks Wildrose, it certainly does brighten the border....

I did google and see the variety of appearance, some are quite dramatic. I like the Pseudopanax Purpureus but do not think that they are available on Vancouver Island :-(

Not seen this one on sale here unfortunately.....otherwise we would..we have a similar Shrub called Dodonea viscosa purpurea........shame you cannot get them over there...
