Pink Impatiens

Nice variegated. I haven't seen those variegated...that's usually for the annual New Guinea types. I gave up on those.

The variegation is beautiful Delonix and contrasts nicely with the pink flowers. I haven't seen it before either. Those leaves are tri-coloured. Cracking Busy Lizzie.

This is not a New Guinea type. I have grown the New Guinea Impatiens in Hayward for two years or so. They did unbelievably well there.

This variegated one I originally purchased from Berkeley Horticulture around 1994. They live two or three years then I take cuttings.

I don't see this variety for sale very often at all here in San Diego. In fact, I've only seen the double flowered variegated one for sale here.

I was just looking these up and guess what? There you are on google with goy, january 2012 with the same busy lizzie, or it's mum or auntie.

Yes, I've been posting photos of this Impatiens for years. I used to have huge ones in with my Rhapis multifida and I took them all out. I should put some cutting back with the Rhapis multifida because it looks so plain without them. The palm should have many babies by now; however, it still has only one trunk.

Pretty grouping there. The pink is lovely.
